Dr. Sydney S. Heflin's education includes a Bachelor of Science in Education degree from Emporia State University in Emporia, Kansas, a Master of Science degree in Counseling from the University of Colorado at Colorado Springs; and a Doctor of Education degree in Counseling and Psychology from Texas A & M University, in Commerce, Texas, as well as her Doctoral Dissertation "The Effect of Selected Subliminal Suggestion Upon the Self-Confidence of Undergraduate Students." Dr. Heflin is licensed as a Licensed Professional Counselor in the States of Colorado and Texas.

Dr. Heflin holds memberships in a variety of professional organizations, including the American Counseling Association and the Association for Specialists in Group Work. Dr. Heflin served four years on the International Association for Regression Research and Therapies as Research Chair. A Behavioral and Gestalt therapist, she is certified as a Diplomate in clinical hypnotherapy by the National Board for Certified Hypnotherapists. She works in the areas of psychoneuroimmunology, as well as past life regression, marriage and family therapy, bereavement therapy, women's issues, inner child work, stress management, and Post Traumatic Stress Disorder.

In private practice in Colorado Springs, CO, since 1991, Dr. Heflin works with individuals, couples, families and groups, and offers workshops in a variety of subject areas.
