FRIDAY AM 9:30 – 12:00

ENHANCING YOUR THERAPY PRACTICE WITH ESSENTIAL OILS Linda Pawlisz, MA, LPC, CHT

As a therapist you want to provide the most relaxing, healing environment and treatment for your clients. Using relaxing music, lighting and essential oils can enhance these relaxing effects. The oil fragrance and unique molecular structure goes directly from the nose to the limbic system, which is the part of the brain that stores emotions. Because essential oils have an effect on the amygdala, the memory center for fear and trauma, they can assist the mind/body response to trauma and sharpen focus, as well as reduce stress, support energetic and joyful attitudes and restore a sense of control.

Linda Pawlisz, MA, LPC, CHT, is a Hypnotherapist and Certified Aromatherapist. She teaches and gives workshops combining mind-body strategies to heal body, emotions, mind and spirit through Aromatherapy, Visualization, and Hypnotherapy.

SKILLS FOR DIFFICULT CASES: VOICE DIALOGUE AND PAST LIFE THERAPY
Dianne Seaman, BS, CPLT (Professional Only)

Past life personalities, like any aspect of the self, want to be heard, accepted without judgment. These inner selves, often hidden and unconscious, hold dynamic living energetic patterns in both the body and psyche. Dialoguing with such energies is, not merely a mental exercise, it provides a deep energetic shift, releasing patterns to free energy for the present. Two techniques will be used: Voice Dialogue method developed by Sidra and Hal Stone, which can be useful for those who resist hypnosis. The second technique—Active Imagination, is used by the client to facilitate further integration vis-à-vis a written dialogue between a past and present self; opening communication. Together "they" plot a course for healing and evolution on a soul level—Learning/ teaching goes back and forth across time.. Dianne Seaman, BS, CPLT, a IBRT certified Regression Therapist, an IARRT member since 1987 and has frequently presented at conferences, as well as being a contributor to The Journal of Regression Therapy and a Certified Facilitator in Voice Dialogue.

UNCOVERING YOUR OWN ‘STUFF’ to AVOID COUNTER- TRANSFERENCE Laura Giles, MSW

Identifying your own stuff can help avoid the embarrassment of it finding you in inappropriate settings. The workshop is a blend of intuition and intellect, but relies heavily on non-verbal communication, music, movement, and the flow of feeling. The workshop will end with an opportunity to process the experience, thus giving participants time to share and integrate the experience. The meditation process may also be used as an alternative for clients who can benefit from past life work, but are not open to the idea of exploring current or past emotions. Laura Giles, MSW B.S. in Human Services Counseling from Old Dominion University, Masters in Social Work from Norfolk State University Author of “The Other Child: Children of Affairs” and soon to be released “Growing up Crazy” (Professional Only) http://healthy-living-solutions.com
